Hey There, I am Mahesh Kene, the proud founder of SS Bakers, and I am thrilled to share my story with you. It has been an incredible journey from my humble beginnings as a courier boy in Masjid Bandar to establishing a renowned cake shop that has captured the hearts and taste buds of people across India. As a courier boy, I learned the value of hard work and perseverance. But deep inside, I knew I wanted something more, something that would challenge and fulfill me. That's when I found myself working at Soham Logistics Export Company, where I gained invaluable experience in office management and logistics. The world seemed to conspire in my favor as I continued to work with organizations whose names also began with the letter 'S', further shaping my knowledge and expertise. Life took an unexpected turn, and I found myself facing a significant obligation that forced me to reconsider my career path. It was during this time that the idea of starting my own business began to take shape.
Despite having no prior knowledge of the cake industry, I felt an undeniable pull toward it. I was determined to learn and grow, no matter the obstacles in my way. For the first few months, I immersed myself in extensive research, devouring information about the cake industry and analyzing service quality and delivery methods. I wanted to ensure that SS Bakers would stand out by offering the best possible cakes and service to our cherished customers. It was a time of intense dedication and countless hours of learning. And so, SS Bakers was born—an embodiment of my passion, dreams, and the commitment to exceed expectations. Each cake we create is a masterpiece, meticulously crafted with love, attention to detail, and a burning desire to bring joy to every occasion. Our Company
The SS Bakery brand originated in my village, and I started marketing it there. Together with my wife, who had completed a cake-making course, we began baking cakes at home and testing Then with our neighbors when I returned from work. I visited various shops to gather feedback about their cakes, learn about the different types they offered, their variants, and sales ideas. In 2019, I left my job and started my first office in March 2020. The office, called SS Baker, was located in a small room next to my house. However, soon after, the COVID-19 pandemic hit, and the country went into lockdown. Nonetheless, we continued to take orders from customers sitting at home. During this time, I gave my first franchise to a village in Bhiwandi for 50,000 rupees. At that point, I only had seven to eight workers, and the lockdown was still ongoing. As our franchise expanded, more people began to inquire about it.
Customers liked the taste of our products and started accepting SS Bakers as their home and family. During the lockdown, we sold around 13 to 14 franchises. I managed and operated all of my franchisees from my single office. Eventually, my workload and the success of my franchises grew so much that I needed a new, larger office and kitchen to ease my work and supply products to our franchisees quickly. Therefore, I obtained a new vehicle and set up a new office and kitchen. Prior to purchasing that vehicle, I used to supply cakes in my own vehicle. My workers played a significant role in setting up all these businesses, and I always treat them as part of my family.
